A consultation should answer your questions

  • The provider's Texas license and training for your treatment.
  • The name and title of the person doing a delegated injection.
  • The product or device, and why it fits your goals.
  • The full cost, with visits, follow-up and what is included.
  • Who is on site, or on call, if something goes wrong?

Texas rules worth knowing

In Texas, laser hair removal outside a physician's or hospital's facility requires a license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Ask for it, ask which license level the person holds, and check it in TDLR's license search.

Texas Medical Board rules require the practice to tell you the name and title of the person who will do a delegated cosmetic injection. Ask who is on site, or on call, if something goes wrong.

Common questions

Take your time before you decide

Start with the provider who will evaluate you. Ask about their Texas license, training for the treatment you are considering, who handles complications, and the full expected cost.

Price matters, but it should not be the only factor. Compare the product or device used, the provider's qualifications, follow-up, and what is included in the quoted amount.

A qualified medical professional decides that, after evaluating your goals, health history and whether a treatment is appropriate for you. This guide helps you prepare your questions.
